I would like to know were there 2 different styles of fiberglass mat used on the backside of the hoods and trunk lids? To be more specific the chopped style mat that is woven and then the almost wire screen style mat.

Yes. It was a early vs later evolution.

Yes , sometimes chopped fiberglass around the edges of steel inner structure. I missed Tulsa too.
