Title: 1968 convertible rear moldings / hockey sticks source
Post by: Rukiddin on June 07, 2020, 03:34:56 PM
Looking to find a pair of the top boot moldings. Need the attaching hardware also. I tried most of the well known dealers w/o success. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hardware is available in reproduction . Original hockey sticks rechromed fit better then the repro.

I think originals are stainless and I may need trim restoration service. I saw some on Ebay a while back but the seller sold out. Is there only one source?

" Re: 1968 convertible rear moldings / hockey sticks source" . Original "hockey sticks" are chromed pot metal. The rest of the rear molding is stainless.

Normally stainless can be repaired, unless there are gouges or bad dents.

I'd suggest restoring an original set over repro.
