Title: Original 67 fiberglass?
Post by: mustang245 on May 12, 2020, 12:41:38 PM
Just want to ask are these original fiberglass? The decklid is all glass and the endcaps are the 3 hole variety. Tail light panel is raised, not the flat one. Would love a 67 project to put these on, but don't have one.

Looks like the weave on the taillight panel matches mine which is original, as does the chopped glass look on the endcaps and trunk.

The tail light panel: ah, seems the 4 mounting posts are missing at each end of the tail light opening.  That in particular suggests that part might be a repop.

Ends maybe broken off. The repros do not have the weave mat but are the chop gun style fiberglass. Looks legit except for the ends issue IMO.

Thanks all. Yes there is a little damage to all the pieces.

Thanks for posting the additional images, especially the tail panel, now the end "wing/returns" and the top lip with holes for rivets are visible which makes it easier to confirm that as (one of the variations of) an original.
