Hello my friends, I want to build a 427 Shelby Aluminium Block and I would need a original stroke 427 Crankshaft for that mission no stroker stuff. I want to build the engine as a 427 cui not 468 etc. If somebody can help me out with a 427 crankshaft that is in very good shape and which is maybe in its original bearing size that would be great.
We want to run the engine close to 8000 rpm, and there are no aftermarket cranks that have the std. stroke of the 427, so I maybe have to go with a used one.
Another option is to buy a 391 crank (forged steel, 427 stroke) and have snout machined to smaller diameter. One thing I've learned doing my 65 R code is good 427 parts are few and far between and when they come around you are competing with the deep pockets of Cobra owners
I will have to talk with cooper, as the parts are from his 45-50 year collection.
New, boxed, believe HM, raced prepared wide journal rods, daytona on boxes.
to mate up is a $ 427 crank., no cuts
Let me know.

Or best option is maybe a custom crank built by crower, opinions?
A friend of mine has two of these cranks for sale, one is an unmolested 427 steel $ marked crankshaft, all standard, and the other one is a 427 steel $ marked crankshaft that was machined for big block chevy rods, both were going to be used for a 427 SOHC.
Here is picture of wondered crank

Buying 391 crank and machining will cost less than 1/2 of that.
Please PM Kent if you have what he is searching for ::)
