Title: Front park lights differences
Post by: Rukiddin on May 05, 2020, 11:36:14 AM
While comparing the parts I have to choose from for my '68 I found my NOS Ford C8ZZ front park lights and noticed that the ones I removed have "C7ZB 13234 B. FOMOCO " printed on the black wire. The NOS ones have the wiring taped from plug to light, while the C7 pieces are a flat/3 wire exposed ,bonded together and have seperate ground terminal at the socket. Which is correct? Jan '68 build
Thanks for any info

The assembly line parking lights on my car had an external  ground wire  coming off the back of the lamp socket.

Your take-off wiring sounds like the factory correct, first issue, wiring pigtail.  The only NOS service lights that I seen with the early wiring have been in a FoMoCo striped box.  Later Ford script boxed parts will have different wiring revisions.
