Title: KR fender emblem question
Post by: Peter L. on April 29, 2020, 10:28:57 AM
Quick question. Maybe Pete can answer this. Has anyone heard of or seen a July built KR using  the long  '69 style '428 cobra jet' emblems?
The emblems on 04052 are long gone, but the adhesive residue strongly resembles the '69 style emblems.
The car is an original paint, 21,000 mile car.

              Thanks, Pete.

Late built for sure, but 68 production would most likely continue to use specified 68 assembly parts.  Are there patched holes visible on the inside of the fenders under a repaint?

No patched holes. No paint repairs.  The car has been off the road since 1971.

No holes from KR, all adhesive. You say CJ emblems so not the snakes? I've only ever seen one type on 68s never the longer 69 emblems. Had quite a few late July cars in my doors (3 right now)

It's a raven black car so it doesn't show up very well, but i'll try and post some pictures. The outline of the snake is pretty clear, but the other outline has me puzzled.
             Thanks.
