Title: Clutch equalizer bracket detail
Post by: Greg on April 18, 2020, 01:20:57 PM
Is the bracket supposed to be painted or bare steel?

Thanks!

Mine is yellow cad (still). It's down in the hole so you really don't see the thing.

If you're referring to the frame bracket with the pivot, those were typically natural steel.  The service replacements were usually clear zinc plated, but I haven't found originals that appeared to be plated.  I usually blast/tumble originals for restorations.

Thank you, natural steel is what it appeared to be originally and what I have done but I wanted to make sure.
