Re pop Speedway 350's

  I'm having a little issue on my tribute car in that the BFG's on Magstars want to rub the front fender the front. Tire size is 215R 70X15     So looking around at the Coker website the current price for repop Speedway 350's is $600.00 (!) For each tire.
 Just a guess that this must be tariff related.
     Seems BFG's at 205R 65 X 15 are not being made anymore. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Kelsey makes them not Coker   Coker marking them up but still 525 through Kelsey

+1 nothing to do with "tariffs" they have always been that price

Kelsey tire is the place to go

Youre not going to like them for driving around

I run 215R 65 X 15 on the front of both my 67's with no clearance issues.

Dave's car looks great with the 215's.  I had 235's in all 4 corners of 1690 with no rub.  I would do 215 or 225 on the tribute car Rod.

I'm thinking my issue is the tires are 70's. Starting to look into the 65's
  That $585 price I got was Speedway 350's through Summit but they did say they were Kelsies. And yes,I will be driving car.

I ran the Speedway 350's on my '67 for years. They look cool, but terrible on the road.  At least here on California freeways.  Every time I changed lanes the back end would kick out.  Have been running 225Rx60's and the car drives 100 times better. 

Just my 2 cents.

The bias ply tires, no matte who makes them, make the car ride like it has concrete tires.

Any radial will run 100 times better and make the car much more enjoyable to drive.


Some people just keep a set of the reproduction "original tires" just for shows.

They do seem to fit the character of the car so much better but looks are deceiving.

Those WERE the HIGH PERFORMANCE tires of the era but the technology has advanced considerably since them.

I can't agree more with Doug.     - no wait   I can't believe that happened   .  A lot depends on what you are going to do with the car. The two tire set scenario pretty much covers all bases.
