Do you mean the faded one with tapering axles at the back of the photo?

If that housing in the front is the one your speaking of it isnt the correct one.

He just says Ford housing, which isn't specific enough for most here.

     Now I can't see so good and or maybe it's just the picture but, the black housing appears to me to have perhaps non O.E.M. spring perches and looks like the tube was sectioned between the spring perch and the axle end attachment?   :-\

I did not notice that until you mentioned it. You are correct as far as I know there should be no weld there. The pedestal looks "stockish" though. No details can be seen on it.

I'm sure he's talking about the black one because that's the only one that was flipped around to show both sides.
