The Lounge / Scale Models Of Shelby & Ford Cars
November 09, 2020, 11:32:16 AM
I think there was a thread on forum 1 on this topic ? I thought I would start a new one, didn't see any thing specific on this forum.

I'll start by posting photos of two Super Coupe models I have, the dark car is a resin 1/43 kit from Automodelli, an Australian

company, the lighter car is a 1/43 built up from Matrix.

The main thing I wanted to know which of these is the correct colour ? It seems to me I have seen photos of the real car in B&W

and in colour, and the shade varies, in some it looks darker, and others lighter, was the 1 to 1 car different shades in its life ?

Is one of the 1/43 models Guardsman Blue and the other Viking Blue, or neither  ? Thanks for any input.

Let's see what you all have in models.

Mike

PS: the dark car needs a second layer of white stripe decals because of bleed through.

1969-1970 Boss 302/429 / Bunkie Knudson's Boss 9 lost
September 09, 2020, 04:18:48 PM
Interesting  8)

I have a couple of photos of that car that are in this video, that I found a couple of years ago on the net.

I wonder if this is a story like the Jim Morrison '67, and will it ever be found ?

Note that it says  "being represented as" one of three !

This a major project, see photo. Contact info is in the post.

I thought I'd start a new thread, for letters, telegrams, and other correspondence from Shelby American (other than invoices for

cars, or build sheets) paper related to production changes etc. are good. I believe there has been a lot posted here in a random

manner in other threads. Perhaps it can be compiled here,  What do you think gentlemen ? I'll start with this letter from SA

regarding Dave MacDonalds schedule in the week of the USRRC event at Kent, beginning of May, '64, his last win before Indy. This

was on another forum posted by Rich MacDonald. Pretty cool piece !

This one is in the June, 2019 issue of the Hemming's magazine, don't know which auction it was, just took a pic of the page of the magazine, before I got thrown out of the store, and told to buy it  ;)
