Our 1968 GT350 convertible is #1034, which was built in Metuchen on 12/19/67 according to the Marti report.
1) Who makes/sells the most accurate trunk mat for a convertible built mid-December, 1967? Speckled or plaid? Burtex or vinyl?
2) Is there separate underlayment that goes under the trunk mat that I need to order? Or is the underlayment and mat all one piece?
3) Who makes/sells the most accurate cardboard panels that cover the tail lights inside the trunk? In looking at the Coral Snake website, it appears these are a blue/gray color.
4) did all spare tires have a cover that matched the trunk mat? Or is spare tire cover an item owners have added over the years to give the trunk a better appearance?
Thanks
Jeff
Let me try....
The speckled burtex mat is by far the most common
Yes there is separate an underlayment under that trunk mat
The tail light cardboard panels are bluishgrey on the outside
No, there is no cover on the spare tire
Get your cardboard panels from Jack at Dead Nuts On.
I just purchased a trunk mat and underlayment from ACC (ACCmats.com). They fit very well so I highly recommend them.
Would love to see some pictures of the car

Pete, I will order the "burtex," mat that is speckled. And ditch the spare tire cover. Thanks for your reply and sharing your knowledge on the '68s.
