Wedgeman is the hero driver.  He would be the only one to pull it off.  I can build a character out of that.   I don't know wedgeman but I can take artistic license.  That was just one idea I threw out there.  It could be anything.  Could be a serious period piece too.  Guys that were friends in the 70s went their separate ways and decades later meet up to see if they still have it.  Okay, no more hijacking the thread by me.

I like "Wedgeman", he's my kinda guy!!! Here's my list. My car is currently under going a full restoration so the parts are awaiting their turn.

How was your experience with the BBM block? Which rods? Compression ratio?

Are your magstars 7" wide?

Have any pictures?   8)

The BBM block is quite impressive!! They are kinda tough to get, small production batches and still need some final machining. Externally, hard to distinguish from an original 65/66 block. Internally they are pretty amazing!! My standard bore H&M block had cracks in the main oiling holes vertically towards the cam bushings! Never seen that! $4K boat anchor now...

My engine builder preferred using the RPM crank with Scat I beam rods. I believe the compression ratio is still low, 10.8 or so, I'll have to double check. The heads were milled pretty good so he had to get them worked out. Standard bore though with 496 cu inch!

My front Magstars are stock 7" but the rears are 8" with the offset 1" more towards the inside. Craig Conley makes these special order to fit a larger tire under the stock qtrs.

Right below this box you are typing into it says + Attachments and other options

Click on that, look below and hit the "choose file" button.

Click on photo library and pick a picture. You have to hit choose file for each picture, maximum 4 pictures.


Forgot to ask what does the aluminum toploader come from?

Some might recall the story of my car number 1189 was from the east coast and loaded for bear with a 430 inch Tunnel Port bullet. It terrorized the upper north east the first five years of its life until it had a mishap in 1971 in a street racing mishap that took it off the road for 47 years. It now runs and drives with an original Holman Moody race motor with mostly factory 50 year old parts. The original Tunnel Port parts are sitting on my shelf waiting to be called to duty if a little more power is required than the medium riser can provide, to get to the 177 mph mark to best the Super Snake record! Maybe we can become the 3 musketeers in the brotherhood of muscle with vintage TUNNEL PORT POWER. ;D
