All assy line installed K code mustang engines will have the vin stamped on the block on the right lower side of the block just above the oil pan, and the block assy date on the left front, i would check with the hipo mustang forum and search there for info.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: Steering Wheel Removal
February 04, 2023, 07:32:42 AM
Yes the air hammer method will work. but instead of a blunt end on the chisel i put a point on it as there should be a small indendtation on the steering shaft ,the pointed end of the chisel will stay centered to the shaft and keep it from slipping off when you pull the trigger and damaging something else,  just a tip fom an old ford dealer mechanic, good luck.

Any pictures of the last American hero with jeff bridges 67 fastback running moonshine.

Why YES !

The "Mustang Movie Magic Genie" will grant your wish :

The Last American Hero
The sound track was great too Jim Croce(  i got a name ) and others, looks like it was a small block in it when he opened the hood ,
Junior Jackson (Jeff Bridges) is a Southern boy with a penchant for driving too fast along his native North Carolina backroads. But when his father, Elroy (Art Lund), is jailed for moonshining, Junior decides to go pro, if only to be able to buy Elroy a few prison privileges. With the help of his brother, Wayne (Gary Busey), he slowly climbs the ranks of the various racing circuits. Often at odds with corporate sponsors, Jackson nevertheless becomes one of the first celebrities of NASCAR.

One word, Yikes!

I just want a nice driver!

Thats what I was asking the guy with the carryover about, brake humps were missing, yet was told that the floor was original. Naughty car!
Yes i would think a carryover car would have e brake humps, 66 year cables routed under the frame rail but not sure when the humps were deleted from the pan, regardless a 66 would still have the dip behind the shifter hole, i know of a 66 Shelby that has a aftermarket pan installed it will be interesting to see if the areas mentioned will be corrected on the car .

64.5 & 65 floor pans are not the same as 67-68 floor pans as 64.5 & 65 pans that have the e brake cable humps for clearance between the frame rail and floor pan , and  have the dip behind the shifter hole for the back up light harness,  67-68 do not have any of these features , aftermarket 65-68 fastback and coupe full floor pans need to have these areas grafted in to them to be correct for a 64.5 & 65 models , here are pictures of a full pan i installed on a 65 fastback you can see the e brake humps and dip behind the shifter hole that were grafted in .

The crimp style K code 65-67 pumps should also have two pump arm return springs one under the arm and one over it, 65 is a 3939S 66-67 4201 stamping on the flange.

Also want to check the ring gear if its a manual trans that the ring is not loose on the flywheel and  turning on the flywheel, it happened to me and made a grinding noise while still turning the flywheel when cranking,
