Thanks guys for the reply and thank you Bob for the photo.
I have the correct handle but the completely wrong jack.
The one I have may be a 69-70? as it does not have the
hinged part on top of the scissor that flips over and contacts the jacking point.
a friend is checking his spare jacks and may have the one I need.

Hi All,
So I have a late production 67 GT350 and was wondering
if anyone could post a photo of what the jack should look like? I have
researched it but am finding different looking jacks supposedly for a 67

Re bodying this would be terrible in more than one way.
The original body or as much a possible needs to be retained and fixed , as
painful and drawn out as the procedure will be.  If they choose the
easy way out they will regret it later.   But wait there is always the survivor class.

The only thing missing on this car is the barnacles.
I have restored several Mustangs and Shelby's and have the skills to
do most of the work myself and have always done it for the love of the cars first. As the cars have
increased in value you can no longer ignore the money aspect of it. It is a beautiful car but will always have a
rusty history and possibly a replacement tag. It is an affordable way for someone to buy their dream car
who otherwise could not ever own one, and I believe that is the kind of buyer it will take.  I just hope they
can do the work themselves otherwise they will be hopelessly upside down. What usually happens is someone
thinks they have the skills to do it but once taken apart they give up and the car sits for 30 more years.  There are
plenty of skilled metal workers who could save it. the car deserves to be saved and restored , good luck to whomever
gets it , they will find many here who have been there done that and can help with advice and services.

Hi All,
Thank you for all the input on my questions , always great knowledgeable
help here. So I ordered a hipo balancer from Cobra Automotive , my engine is original
to the car and I don't plan on cutting corners while rebuilding it . I do occasionally exceed the
speed limit and don't need the engine coming apart due to a low quality part. I do plan on JEGS for
some other assorted parts.

Hi All,
I am getting ready to order parts for my Shelby's  289 hipo rebuild and have not ordered
from JEGS before just was wondering if anyone has feedback on ordering from them?
also I will probably replace my old balancer and Scott Drake makes a Hipo balancer that is
supposed to be correct minus the ford logo.  I was thinking
about using this as well, but again has anyone used one of these balancers? Your time
and input is appreciated.

I see nothing wrong with a color change if you don't like the original
color regardless of what it was , although I would stick with a color
that was originally available for Shelby's in 1967.  My 67 was originally
lime gold as well when I bought it in the color of Brittany blue.  It was done
well and completely along with being supposedly a more desirable color.
Unless a spectator at a car show has a registry with them they would never know.
I believe the value may be higher in this case than if it was original.
It's your car do what you like and just take the point deduction and the
next owner can change it back if they like.

Yes I would like to use the roller tip rockers not full roller rockers.  The last hipo I did
we used TRW roller tip but the poly lock was hitting the baffles so I removed the baffles
and fabricated new ones similar to the standard steel covers type baffle. Hoping I don't have to
do the fab mods this time.

Hi All,
I may rebuild my 67 Shelby's 289 hipo soon and may want to use
roller tip rockers , I want to use the original valve covers without modifying 
them,  the baffles will not clear on most brands of roller rockers and  valve cover
spacers are not acceptable. Has anyone found a quality brand that will clear everything?
