Watch what happens to the drain plug.  Never a dull moment and nothing goes according to plan.  That is my life.

Small block eight so live she feels
There she's parked beside the curb
Engine revving to disturb
She's the princess from his past
Red paint gold stripes damned she's fast"

Not when the oil drain plug falls into the oil catch basin.  I had a solution though.

The way this oil catch basin is designed the yellow pan screws into a hole at the side and the oil slurps down the hole into the pan. The plastic four point cage in the center of the yellow pan is suppose to stop the drain plug from going into the hole. This time it didn't. Just as I was about to pour the oil into another jug and sift through it to retrieve the plug, I paused and thought about using a magnetic wand to get the plug and then it worked. Make no mistake, working on cars is as much brain work as manual work. It is a very challenging field that requires intelligence, problem solving and physical dexterity. High respect to the mechanics out there. The ethical ones.
