This is a thread to track known salvaged, totaled, or lost (IE: stolen) 1969/1970 Shelbys, they could be, salvaged and rebuilt, totaled and rebuilt, or stolen, potentially built again as "air" cars that could be floating around.
Please keep the discussion in this thread about specific cars that are known to SAAC, and the SAAC forum:
We can start with the most recent that I know of, self reported by the owner at that time: 9F03R480135-lost to an unknown fuel, or electrical fire some time in late 2022 or early 2023.
Once again, please only post those that are documented, either from online salvage auctions, insurance databases, or other verified sources so as to not have people playing games for some nefarious reason.
Thanks in advance for getting the ball rolling on this.
Bill

I'd really like to keep this thread 69/70 specific, but yes, 3900 is the perfect example of what I was going for in the start of this thread.
Thanks,
Bill
Don't forget about the Grabber Blue Shelby that burned recently. The owner is on here.
0F02R482917 fits the bill(no pun intended) as a stolen and never found car.

Appreciate the lead, found information on your one friends car, accidents happen, I'm sure there are dozens without any mention in the registry, after all, they were daily driven in most cases. He sold the car in 96, no new owner information showing in latest registry. The other last name you mentioned does not show up in the registry, although I'll start tracking that lead further since both cars may have been totaled back in the day. If I find anything of substance, I'll update the thread accordingly.

Back in the 80s in Detroit there was a T-boned 69 Gt350 aqua vert. Many parts were sold off the car. I tried buying it to re-do but it never came to be. I don't know what happened to it but am pretty sure it was not going to the junkyard as the current owner bought it off a guy who was parting it out before it reached the point of it shouldn't be parted out.

If I remember correctly, the car was rolled back over, roof kicked/beaten upwards enough that the car was driven home by it's bruised owner. Now restored to it's former glory.

Since this is the 69/70 Shelby subforum, I left it as 69/70 Shelbys. But we could start a new thread in the 68 Shelby subforum, as there are some really interesting stories with some of the cars 04390 and 03278 as perfect examples.

Those are my photos, taken in 1983 at Shelby Club autocross in Va Beach. After the accident, the car was found to have a broken main leaf in one of the rear springs, we think that's the main contributing factor in the wreck.
There was no driving away afterwards, unless riding out in an ambulance with a broken back counts. In actuality, what happened was the car was rolled back over using an old work truck, a chain and about 7 strong backs. It was loaded on a trailer and trailered back to Hampton to the owners house. Luckily the owner, a good friend, suffered no paralysis or debilitating injuries, but this was the end of his autocross (and drag racing) activity and after repairs (roof replacement, repaint, and tires) it was sold to another local Shelby enthusiast as an entry level driver in 1984. I know the number of this car (the two subsequent owners before the car left the Commonwealth are also good friends), but I'm not going to reveal it on a public forum, not sure any good would come of it.

may be 3106

Any idea what happened to "3106"?

I see left front unibody damage and an apparent deformation of that impact carrying back to the windshield header as the drivers side of the windshield header is noticeably higher than the passenger side. Either caused by the initial impact, or when the car was towed away is unknown, but still there if you know what to look for.

This is a thread for documenting the list of cars, but not each car in detail, I suggest starting a new thread with what is known, and the additional pictures so we do not take this thread beyond why I started it.
Thanks
