The Lounge / Re: 66 rear package shelf in a 69

Yeah not sure why they responded with that but I'll take everyone's word for it here, just wanted to be sure before I ordered.

Thanks again

Interesting, Branda replied this am and said it will fit 65-66 only! But I'm guessing they either have never tried or just covering their butt!

Thanks for your input, I'll probably give it a shot

Well you probably will now, but I'm sure you are not surprised by that Bob! At least not by who you're dealing with!  ;D

The Lounge / 66 rear package shelf in a 69
March 13, 2020, 05:47:04 PM
Will it fit? In other words, take out the fold down & replace(temporarily). Obviously a non concours situation. I see Branda has them, any thoughts on whos is best (if anyone else even has them)

Thanks, Mike

Thanks, looks like Branda does carry.  I would like to hear from anyone that knows whether it would fit a 69, I will check with them also. Guess I should start a new thread.

Much appreciated!!

Will the 66 package tray fit in a 69? I don't let anyone sit in the back seat anyhow and losing the weight of the fold down assy would be a bonus!!
And who makes/carries them?

Thanks in advance, Mike

Concours Talk / Horn spacer

I was told that this is used to space one horn out on A/C cars to clear the condenser. Is that the case? For 69-70 only?

Thanks in advance!

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: 69 Shelby door panels
January 17, 2020, 04:29:43 PM
First two pics are of original door panel grain, other 2 are ~ 12 year old repros from Mustang Market. I have heard that theirs are closer now.
While maybe not good enough for concours, they are plenty good for a normal show car or driver IMHO.

Do you leave the chain hanging on the hinge while driving?

(Second picture prompted the question)

Yes, I leave chains hanging, the heater hoses help keep them from scraping everything up.
The chains were originally going to be temporary until I came up with something nicer (plastic coated cables maybe?), but we all know how that goes!

Pics of my chains. I put piece of heater hose on to keep them from beating everything up so bad.
Like I said, probably a better way to do it but this works great.
