    And even with the treat of flying alligators, we (Crackers) still can't stop the flood of 'other' people pouring into our state!   

    Now, I realize that "we", may have initiated the breach with the offerings of swamp land to "Yankee's" (suckers!  ), but back before air-conditioning we could always count on them going back up-north in the spring-time (otherwise we have to listen to their complaints of the "heat & humidity  ), and as such were popularly referred to as "Snow-Birds" (but before my time they were often referred to as being "Carpetbaggers"!  ); but now all we can say is that they "forgot to pack and go back"!
