Was it a Shelby with white door panels, backup lights and no GT350 tag on rear?

Quote from: 67 GT350 on May 01, 2024, 08:16:23 PMWondering, why power steering can sometimes be hard to steer? Belt not loose.

Since it's not constant I'd bet the vanes are hanging up in their slots. Or something in the system is keeping a valve from sealing. Drain and flush it out with solvent to assure some crud in the system isn't causing your problem.

If the vanes don't make constant contact with the outside of their housing (or a valve is leaking) the pressure will be less making it harder to steer. https://youtu.be/H7S0gag_a4k?t=345

If that is your idea of a Burrito you must be north of the 37th Parallel

BTW I got gas here in SoCal today for $1.39........ @ Taco Bell

I recommend - https://www.casadelreymexicanrestaurant.com/burrito-logo

That answer tells me to go direct to Johnson and avoid the upcharge for putting the "off the shelf" part into a Motorsport box.

That doesn't sound like a Cobra Automotive problem. Their site says Raybestos Brand not US Made? You did not inspect your parts on arrival. Companies generally will accept returns in original condition with original packaging. ChiCom brake parts have been the norm for 10+ years. It's rare to find replacement steel or cast iron parts made in the USA.

The "domestic" brands you may be familiar with (Raybestos,Wagner, Bendix, Centric, Motorcraft, Delco) are all manufactured in China/Taiwan. Aug 9, 2014

I think the latch goes in the center of the car. Easier for right handed driver to fasten it.

The little Porsche was a common sighting on Love Street - https://www.hmdb.org/m.asp?m=180842   http://laurelcanyonassoc.com/20cHist.html

It sold for 1.76 million a few years ago. It's time in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was not kind to it.
While we're on the Rockhall they either need to let the Monkees in or take out all the other groups that the Wrecking Crew recorded for. Ever wonder why live albums suck and the studio ones are great? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wrecking_Crew_(music)

A licensing quagmire.

Shelby & signature owned by Carroll Shelby International. Unless Ford had some clause in his 2005 $15,000,000 personal services contract allowing them to use it in conjunction with the Cobra, GT350 and GT500 trademarks they acquired in 1967.

Quote from: Bill on April 22, 2024, 06:51:07 PM....... rumor has it CS's cousins, brothers, sisters-in-laws, cousins, nephew watched this car being hand built in CS's barn in south Africa and this is how they did it back then.

Let's see what's the technical term I'm looking for? Oh yeah - BS. In the early 70s CS vacationed in many parts of Africa for up to 9 months a year. In the world of Shelby one thing always holds true. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." This story seem to fail the proof test easily.

Watch LeMans in June if you want to see one......

I'm pretty sure that the original Shelby part is different than the repro. Same dimensions but different look. In the distant past I seem to remember a rebuild kit (service?) being offered for the original - pre repro availability. The arm on the steering box was also longer and the box used the same quicker ratio as the power steering box.

Use something with a GL4 rating. GL5 could eat the syncros depending on what yours are made of. I'm pretty sure 90W was the original rating. I agree no synthetic. I did some homework on this when I got my Model A. The PO had used synthetic and the syncros in my 39 trans and overdrive were too slippery to engage without some grinding. Changed to orig recommended fluids and all is good.

IHOP always served breakfast all day in LA. When I was still working in the field it was my favorite breakfast for lunch on rainy days. So did the Pantry but there was always a long line.
They filmed it at Angelo's Burgers in Lynwwod. They've got several places but their Anaheim one was the best. Carhops on skates - looks like that's still going on. Haven't been there since the 90s. Even Bob's Big Boy only has carhops now and only on Friday evenings and no skates in Burbank.
