Trying to correct a few detailing issues under the hood of my GT 500KR that I have owned for 38 years. The questions are as follows:

1.) Is there a correct orientation of the ram air seal? Seal has a splice and an approximate 5/8" diameter through hole in the seal. Is the hole and splice oriented in any certain direction?

2.) Should there be a battery bracket from the inner apron to the battery hold down stud? My car has no sign of ever having a bracket, but there is a 3/16" diameter hole that aligns with the second fender bolt on the passenger side, 1" down from the top of the inner apron. Old photos show the hole, but nothing attached? Too far back on the apron for a bracket?

Any input or pictures will be appreciated.

Thank you.

+1 . I suspect OP is thinking of 67 model year where some but not all had a battery bracket.
