Unfortunately the former is far more likely than the latter.  Well, when someone shuts down the oil and gas industry, the current result is not surprising, even if one is rocking an IQ of say 85 on the Stanford Binet scale which is about the level of those who thought wind and solar would save the day.  Now I understand that California needs to choose between home AC and charging their EV.  You can't have both.  Oh, and let's shut down the nuclear plants too while all of this is transpiring (or conspiring).  In the end, it all goes to intelligence quotient.

Around here at $1.79 will only barely get you one qt of gas right now. Got a gallon of milk last night and it was $5.59. On the other hand I bought some "decent " Ribeye steaks for $5.99 2 weeks ago and they were boneless. Yum yum yummy. Marinade them overnight and they were pretty damn good.

That is highway robbery.  Literally.  So we're back to those days again where the highwayman sticks up the passenger coach.  I wonder if we have a good description of said highwayman.  I wonder if there are any leads.
