1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: New Tires
Today at 08:27:55 AM
Quote from: Steve McDonald Formally known as Mcdonas on Today at 01:36:21 AMI drove almost 1,000 miles on the recent Cobra Tour on the new Goodyears and have to say I really like the ride and handling. The only issue is when turning with the wheel, turned to lock the barely rubs the inside of the frame rail. I don't have the steering stops installed at this time as I just haven't installed since Shelby Parts and Restoration redid them so it might become a non issue.
Smooth, quiet and handle well. For me they are well worth the price

Good to hear that you really like the ride and handling.

Glad to here they worked out, enjoy the ride

But wait there is more pictures of Mr Gottlob and his pit crew ;

Cliff Gottlob goes to Daytona.

Cliff bought a new 1967 L-88 Corvette and ran it at Daytona in the early 1970s as well as other races.

At the 1970 Daytona 24 hr race, he  drove the car from Kansas to Daytona, finshed 2nd in class GT +2.0, 11th over all, and drove it home.

David Dooley was the co driver

Moral of the story:

L88s are streatable and get good gas mileage....

Besides the gators, skeeters, hurricane's and 100 degree weather here is another good aspect of living in Floridaland.

Seeing and driving unique cars daily

Lovely 1973 Z28 Rally Sport parked outside of Costco today.

Notice the split bumper, also known as a bumperette, was only available on the RS model from 1970–1973 as part of the Rally Sport package.

The package also included round turn signal lights next to the headlights

The owner advised that the anemic 350 has been replaced by a newer more powerful LS powerplant

Nice car !
