Title: Fire Damaged 9F03R480135 salvage vehicle
Post by: FL SAAC on May 20, 2023, 10:52:43 AM
It is with profound sadness that the family of BLUE SHELBY announce his peaceful passing at the age of 53 years.

BLUE  SHELBY succumbed to a very terrible fire.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers RED SHELBY GT500 1969, SHELBY 2007 GTH,  SHELBY 2013 S.S. and SHELBY 2016 GTH

BlUE SHELBY started its life as a Black Jade convertible,  on or around 1972 its owner transformed it in to a lovely redhead. It's current owner added this fascinating Grabber Blue to contrast its factory white guts

BLUE SHELBY will also be dearly missed by his friends at  FL SAAC,   Muscle Stangs of Miami, South Florida Mustang Club, Florida Cobra Club, South Florida A.A.C.A and Florida A.A.C.A.

Instead of flowers please make a donation or contribution directly to our national S.A A.C.

Thank you

BLUE SHELBY was such a huge presence in our lives, and this is a loss that will stay with us forever.

BLUE SHELBY was a vehicle that will, never be replaced.

BLUE SHELBY truly was one of a kind.

BLUE SHELBY was the sort of vehicle who would take you any where, day or night.

Granted, we had our ups and down, and we weren't perfect... but, to us, our relationship was perfect.

If I could go back and do it all again, I would in a heartbeat, and I wouldn't change a single thing.

It's so hard to find the right words to do BLUE SHELBY justice, and to truly express who that vehicle was, and what SHELBY meant to us.

BLUE SHELBY really, truly cared about us, and in the world that we live in, it is pretty difficult to come across a vehicle like SHELBY.

I honestly don't know where I would be right now without BLUE SHELBY.

I loved BLUE SHELBY for every flaw, and every imperfection it had.

We were together for for many years, and although I will forever wish that we had had just a little bit longer, I am so grateful I got to spend that time with SHELBY.

BLUE SHELBY to the end always held its hood up and was always proud it was never trailered.

Race In Peace my beloved BLUE SHELBY

The insurance company has offered us first dibs on repurchasing the fire damaged vehicle.

We thought about it, at $100k +/- plus repairs andwaiting for it to be repaired ( 1 to 2 years), a salvage title and it will always have diminished value, it was a big NO.

A few people have suggested that I should buy the salvage vehicle back.

Then cleanse the title through several processes they recommended.

Then miraculously BLUE SHELBY will be appearing as a untouched ( hey just like JIMMIES 67 ) virgin with "clean paper work"

Unfortunately "we people" don't do that.

That is why we are documenting its demise on our S. A. A. C. forum for all to witness and to hopefully warn others who may purchase this vehicle in the future.

BUYER BEWARE

Puts things in perspective

People are important, your family, your friends

Possessions are just that, just things that we have and we hold for just a little moment in our short lives

Take a look at this really cool website CLASSIC.COM just input what ever car and year you like and just like magic the results come up !

Lets try a 1969 GT500 convertible, gosh those are some pretty decent prices for something you can drive immediately.

Let's take a look at March 2022 through May 2023 sales.

Seven cars sold at $955,000 or an average car sale of $136,400 or round up to $150,000

So that's why I said :

Uncle Fred would always tell Lamont "You Big Dummy"

Don't be that " Big Dummy " and buy a car with a :

Salvage title

Time and Money to repair

Diminished Value due to the fire

Total Loss documented by insurance letter

How's that for provenance  !

Oh yes we remember that beautiful brisk sunny day as our convoy descended upon the beautiful town of Ocala Florida.

We spent five day cruising, eating, sharing stories and making new friends. A great time had by all.

The End

Ladies and gentlemen step right up and bid on this one time pristine GT500.

Once purchased you will have a State of Florida Salvage Title

Then YOU can cleanse the title through several processes that people use......

Then miraculously this BLUE SHELBY ( points deducted for not original color ) will be appearing as a untouched ( hey just like JIMMIES 67 ) virgin vehicle with "clean paper work"

That is why we are documenting its demise on our S. A. A. C. forum for all to witness and to hopefully warn others who may purchase this SALVAGE vehicle in the future.

Enjoy and bid now and bid often  !
