Allen Grant did not race at Dodger Stadium....it's Candlestick park (San Francisco, Ca.)...2026 and 2002 were the only Cobras to race at Dodger Stadium (March 1963).

Grant photo #2 should be Santa Barbara, due to the concrete surface and the tar strips.  Grant photo #3 is Candlestick baseball park.  I'd say the gentleman at the wheel of the Grant Cobra in photo #3 is John Olson his main mechanic, what looks to possibly be George Lucas (Star Wars) Grant's other mechanic on the passenger rear fender....I don't recognize the other passenger on the driver's side rear fender at the moment (looks like, Peter Brock, but it's not him and I can't read the name on the jacket).

No problem....enjoy the site there are tons of detail photos, Cobra, Shelby GT350 R-model (001 at Willow Springs, etc.) photos, Trans-Am,  Can-Am, Cougar stuff and tons of Indy and drag racing to keep you busy for several weeks.

The louvers are on the hood in the blue tinted photo...the photo is just poor quality.  Go to "Peterson Digital Archive" and type in "Cobra 1962"....there are several photos from the test session and a few photos showing the louvered hood/partial painted hood and also another test driver.  Also, some of the images are flipped....so there really isn't any right hand drive Cobras at this event.  There are also a few images of csx2000 in the pearl yellow color, an early road test of a red Cobra, some early homologated competition parts (side draft weber manifold, etc.) etc.

Best guess as to which red Cobra this one appears to be in the video would be 2027 at the November 14-15, 1964 HC (most of the trees in the background have no leaves). The gold colored 1963 Corvette Stingray #30 driven by John Bolton is noted as the winner of the November 1964 Hershey HC, the maroonish Porsche Special #138 is Pat/John Sabel's car (also noted as his debut race) the muted red (looks like an orange) #67 Porsche Special is Jack Rabold's car.

September 1965 for the 500.  June 1965 for the Sprints.  Great photos by the way.

It's hard to say to who is exactly driving the Cobra....it does look like Masten G. as mentioned by JD (possibly with a borrowed helmet, since most photos seem to show Masten G. with a silver helmet/white visor).  The Cobra is 2002....this might be part of a photo shoot and there was a color Magazine article out there showing a road test of this Cobra (2002) in period at Riverside.

Thanks for the update Ned, I will make a correction to my list....the old Registry only has the Stanley Whitehead listing.

In checking the Santa Barbara entry list for Fred, the color of his Cobra is noted as Silver.  It also looks like another Cobra of unknown chassis number for Tom Blue is also on the Santa Barbara entry list....Tom's Cobra is also noted as Silver under race #1.  I did end up finding a picture of Fred's Cobra at the Santa Barbara races on the "Getty Images" site:

https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/sports-car-races-ascot-drivers-compete-in-a-variety-of-news-photo/163093898?adppopup=true

The second Cobra in the background hiding behind the hay bale I'm guessing is Tom Blue's Cobra?

I don't have any photos of Fred's Cobra, but he was on the entry list at Santa Barbara in September 1965 with the same number (#27?)...and I do have Fred racing at this particular race at Stardust on October 3, 1965.  It's interesting to note a color change on 2097 (looks to possibly be a silver?).

Did Alan's car break down in practice at the corkscrew prior to the afternoon's race (I think this is what you had mentioned earlier in the post)?  In the afternoon's race, Alan was on the front row and just after cresting the start/finish hill heading in to turn 2 on the first lap the axle separated from the Shelby causing Alan to veer right into the outside wall.....this coincidentally, happens to be the same area around the turn 2/turn 3 area that Lew Spencer crashed his Sunbeam Tiger at the May 1964 Regional races.

Alan's accident happened going in to turn 2 on the "Old Course", not at the corkscrew.

I would probably have to guess and say that this was the tech inspection garage....the cars look "too clean"....showing no grit and grim.
