I just watched my son finish building the new James Bond 007 DB5 build from Lego.  It's amazing how they included all the spy gadgets.  I couldn't help but think how cool it might be to see them create a 1965 R model or something.  For those that don't know, Lego operates a website where fans can vote on submitted projects fabricated by fans.  If enough people vote yes, Lego produces the design as a kit available to the general public.

AWESOME WORK!!!!

Brian, you do know about the full size Lego 65 Mustang coupe that was at the 50 Mustang celebration?

That was pretty darn awesome to see in person!!

Wow, I've never seen this before.  My son will get a kick out of it. Thanks!

Yes, that "car" is on display outside at Legoland.  We took my 5 and 9 year olds there in April.

Got my years mixed up. It was at the 40 MCA Celebration in Indy 2016, not the 50 Mustang Celebration in Charlotte 2014. I was blessed to attend both though ;)

Great idea, Brian.  And, a super cool way to represent the 65 R Models...with a model.   ;D

Seriously, it would be really awesome!
Nothing beats a classic!

I think they have done a Ford GT.  Those have been hard to find.  And while they're at it, how about a Daytona coupe.
