About twice a year my relatives get together to talk and generally catch up. We joke that we only now meet at funerals so this is much better and we can say what we want to the person without them being dead. My only surviving Aunt is approaching 90 and the youngest person is almost 66 so its a "hope this is not the last one" kind of lunch. My aunt and a cousin bought some pictures and there is one from June 25th 1978 and in the background is my Shelby. I had borrowed my friends 1932 Ford 5 Window coupe to drive at the wedding and he had borrowed my Shelby for his wedding. in the background of this picture in my car sitting in the driveway. It looks like it had just been pulled out of the garage but in the 40+ years we lived in the house we never once had a car in the garage as it was always filled with junk and stuff.
Nice to see pictures of the car from back in the day even if a bad photo. I'm pretty sure it had about 120,000 miles on it at that time, as it got about another 100,000 before being taken off the road about 1988. bought back lots of memories
Cool vintage photo. Dig the Cragar S/S chromies.
Very cool pic. Thanks for sharing that.
Great vintage picture and you are wise to visit family while still alive versus at funerals.
I still got that suit and it may still fit since I've lost a bunch of weight

Even better. I can still wear clothing I wore when I was 18. If I perceive that I am putting on weight I increase my exercise and scale back on food. Buy more gasoline and eat less food. That is my mantra. Lighter weight makes you go faster.
