Chips episode must have been around 1980.  Looks like a 79 Z28.  Never mind the missing letters, look at those flares and the fender emblems in the wrong spot!  Car could probably be tracked by the California plate.

I'd like to see how they put the Daytona in the ditch.   

Even with the most careful of planning, that doesn't look like a good idea.
