Up For Auction / Re: 1967 K Code Fastback on Ebay.

A K code fastback Wimbledon white with red interior and GTA on the fender would get my attention.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: 67 Shelby Brake Problem
September 06, 2018, 10:53:25 AM
Just went through this with a friends 289 hipo. Shake and stall at idle. Intake manifold gaskets were crumbly and the carb spacer was warped. Went from 12/13 to 16 on the vacuum.

Appeals / Re: Removing Undercoating but Not Paint
August 28, 2018, 12:49:17 PM
Eastwood had stuff called 'Under gone' (close) and you would spray and it would get gooey. A delron scraper just pushed it off and I would do a final wipe with mineral or alcohol.  Used 7 cans on a 67 stang. But I don't see it now on Eastwood's site.

Myself and Xcoils will be there on Saturday. I'm parking cars with the Northcoast Mustang & Ford Club. Will have a club blue shirt on and my yellow GT500 hat. Stop and say hi.

Was the engine rebuilt with a auto parts store temp sensor? They usually show a higher temperature. Find a NOS Ford or a good used one.

These wheels were at a swap meet. Can someone tell me what car they were for?

Thanks

1969-1970 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: 69 GT350 value
August 08, 2018, 11:21:12 AM
A club member in May sold his 69 GT350 with 4 speed and a decent re-paint for $45K. Nice fiberglass and interior the biggest drawback was non original engine. Originally asked $56K.

My son wants us to go and take the GTA because of the A/C and usually there are GTAs parked together on Mustang row.
How fast will the temp climb in that traffic with the A/C going?

You need a circuit that provides 12 v only when the the ign. switch is only in the on position.

What CFM is your new carb?

The Lounge / Re: fathers day car show
June 18, 2018, 11:04:54 AM
I attended a Father's Day show with 463 cars. My yellow KR was the only Shelby there, plenty of Cobra kit cars.
About half of the people who talked to me about the car asked if it was real! :-\

Yes! Another Marshall Ford Shelby.

I lived a few miles from Columbia Station during those years and there were quite a few Shelbys running around. They even were driven in the winter. The owner of my KR lived in that area also, they may have hung out together???

What do you think it would cost a back yard enthusiast to bring this car to a super nice level?

For parts you would have to decide on buying assemblyline, NOS, good used original or go the repro route. Big difference in cost.

FROM THERE IT WAS SHIPPED TO SOUTH WEST FORD SALES, INC. IN PARMA HEIGHTS, OHIO.

Small world! I've spent lots of money at Southwest over the years. One of my Ford clubs started there in 1969 and is still called the Southwest Mustang & Ford Performance club.

See what just 4 years of Cleveland salt will do to a car! ;D
