Two different setups:
A) parallel carb arrangement with the following stampings on carbs. All are stamped "48IDA 4" but three are followed by "OM" and the fourth by "1D".
B) opposing carb arrangement with the following stampings on carbs "48IDA 4" followed by "1392", "1118", "1915", and "1995".
Are these date codes or other identifying codes? Thank you.

Thank you JD.
ID is easy
Hi Paul,
Group A carburetors; the 48IDA 4 with the date or manufacturing codes are from the mid 1970's and later.
Group B carburetors; the 48IDA 4's are with serial numbers (is what those numbers are) they are from approximately 1968 to about the early 1970's.
Reach out to Dan Case as he has collected information and can identify them based on his research and the progression of the Weber 48 IDA. Dan has a chart he created and has posted it here on the forum some time ago
He has information from the 48 IDM > 48 IDA > 48 IDA-1 > 48 IDA-4. Then the later versions of the 48 IDA-4's (your group A)
Hope that helps somewhat. Your group B carburetors are the more valuable of the two sets.
Cheers
