I think Shelby only for now.

I am going to check my rug for stencil part number.

Adding those would be helpful
#2342
Thank you Jeff

I do not have examples with part numbers

I will look through the photos I have, but I thought it was best to get a starting point.

I certainly will adjust as more information comes to the thread.

I welcome more information.

I think you might agree there was one intended design for each code, substitution was always a potential.

I just want to get some basics we can agree on. That way we have a baseline.

We need Eds input as well

Not a Shelby, not then, not ever

Corrected above to reflect clarification of carpet inserts and woodgrain

Thanks to everyone that has assisted.

Interior Warranty code / color / carpet info / seat info

Fastbacks

3A/3AA- Black interior/ black carpet with red inserts / red stripe on black seats

3W/3WA- White interior/ black carpet with red inserts / no stripe on white seats

3DA- Red interior/ red carpet with red inserts/ no stripe on red seats

Convertible

FA/FAA- Black interior/ black carpet with black insert (driver front only) /  no stripe on seats*

FW/FWA- White interior/ black carpet with black insert (driver front only) / no stripe on seats

No Red interiors on convertibles

*some convertibles may have received red stripes on seats

The deviation code is an early/late feature
Possibly to denote change from teak woodgrain/ to walnut woodgrain

Note: Some early convertibles cars had odd combinations of white/black interiors

If you have anything to contribute, please do

I think the convertible floor carpet is going to be molded differently and therefore not interchangeable.

The red stripe on the seats is an artifact of the Mach 1 interior, so its not normally found on convertibles.

A convertible carpet and a Boss9 carpet really cant be compared

My understanding is the bodystyle is the determining factor
#2348
I will do a webpage sometime soon

Here is what I think so far 🤔...

Fastbacks

Black interior/ black carpet with red inserts / red stripe on black seats

White interior/ black carpet with red inserts / no stripe on white seats

Red interior/ red carpet with red inserts/ no stripe on red seats

Convertible

Black interior/ black carpet with black inserts /  no stripe on seats*

White interior/ black carpet with black inserts / no stripe on seats

No Red interiors

I think there might be some oddities, so I will update as needed

*some later cars may have had red stripes

Manufacturer is out of stock with no definitive restock date

8T02J165431-02069 is the only car that matches the descriptions.

Sorry, I cant tell you where it is now, but that should help

Sent you a pm

With a little more info, I should be able to give you the serial number

Looks like an early, saddle interior car

Which transmission? Did it have AC?

Great piece if you need to replace a quarter panel -right side

I will throw in inner support also, but is for a coupe/conv

Not from a GT350.

GT350 motors would have a "8T------" derivative serial number.

Up For Auction / Re: "Rarest Shelby on the planet"
April 25, 2021, 08:25:52 AM
I can tell you exactly where that price came from, but I don't want to burn this thread to the ground.

Driven less than 400 miles a year (18k),  the rare parts are stripped off and two of the Shelby tags have been replaced.

Everything else you need to know is summed up by this statement from the auction ...

"I'm a used car dealer"

Up For Auction / Re: 1968 Shelby #101 up for auction

Craig did not buy the car. I think he may have bid on it.

There are currently just two cars that have the Conelec EFI- The gold fastback and the Green Hornet.

I did have it on my 1969 GT350, but it has been removed and returned to its original carburation set up.
