Just bought it for the body, we do EV conversions and a nice patina car doesn't come up often.
Had not heard of the 2 spd hone o drive till after the purchase,may have to rethink plans

Parked in 86 ,in glove box AZ title application from 1984 shows mileage at 3194 miles and today its 3240 miles, pedals and heel pad wear would concur.
2 speed Hone o Drive is intact.

Very cool car, especially with that rare Hone o Drive rear end. Obviously you saw the opportunity and have the passion to bring this car back to it's previous glory.

The car is #944. The mistake was done by the person who did the layout of that page. Frustrating.

I have a late model GT 500 and a late model 911 along with my classics insured with Hagarty. I was previously with Heacock who is a great company, who I highly recommend. The only reason I changed was the relationship my regular insurance company had with Hagerty. That relationship allowed my umbrella policy to also cover my classic cars.

Well one of the reasons I ask is that Dave Mathews posted pictures of a '67 he had maybe 5 years ago.

He claimed that the paint underneath was original to the car and from the pictures he posted looked uniformly the same color and texture.

It was so good, and because I have been following the threads on this subject, I just had doubts that it was original.


I'm trying to decide the best course of action for my '67. It was a Gotham Ford car and is so typical of Bill Kolb sales has a heavy undercoating on it. Cleaning that stuff off is time consuming and will detract from my time of contemplating the meaning of life and what is the Universe. So I thought I would revisit this thread with a different approach?

That was car #3002 which was original paint.
