Hi Jay,

Are the cables the same lengths?  There is three versions. The Mustang is 57.6 inches long with the Fairlane at 38.6 inches for 1964 and 58 inches for 1965.  The mounting brackets are similar, but no the exactly the same.  The 65 Fairlane and Mustang cables can be confused because they are very close in length.

Virginia Mustang sells nice HIGH PERFORMANCE CHOKE CABLE COVER  Part number IN7481.

Well, as long as we're still on this subject, I have an original choke cable assembly in super condition that looks just like cushmancomp's that is 48 inches long. The mounting bracket does not look correct for '65-'66 Mustang/GT350.  Is it for Comet/Falcon?

Mine's just like the one on the left with the two "fingers" on the mounting bracket.

The choke in the middle looks like it may be from a Ford truck in the same time period.  The choke bezel seems familiar to my 66 F100 4X4, but the knob is not the right shape.

Thanks for posting

The following is in reference to Reply #8

Far right looks like it may be the same as a 69 Boss. Don't have the length for comparison

65-66 ones I have pictures of and have here use a single "finger" mounting bracket.

Haven't measured the length of those cables.
Do have one like the far left with the double "fingers" can't recall what I took it out of but wasn't a Mustang Haven't measured that one either for length
