Title: 6S089 at VARA Big Bore Bash Willow Springs
Post by: 1331 on November 07, 2022, 03:40:57 PM
So I finally got some time to take out Stirling Moss' old GT350 this past weekend at Willow Springs with VARA.
It was a blast to say the least.
One thing that was so different than the more modern cars is the racing seats from the 1960's have ZERO lateral support!!!!
The only mechanical issue was the passenger side tail pipe "fell off" so I was black flagged during the qualifying lap
Great weekend overall and a great car
Long live the memory of Sir Stirling Moss!!!!

The original R Model seat had great lateral support. You also had to be skinny enough to wedge yourself in. Today there is also a repro that is wider.
