I´m wondering about the Master Cylinder Cap on the GT500 67 because I have seen several styles from natural over galvanized etc. on concours GT500´s which one is correct? Thanks for helping...

'67 GT350 and GT500 caps are the same (Ford Mustang part), there is a difference of early (top) vs later (bottom).

Note the vents, "domes" and the stickers differ.  Painted semi-gloss black.

...also, the text on the rear dome is de-bossed into the lid, not raised up, providing a flatter surface for sticker.

Is there a repro or a source where I can buy the later style?

I don't off-hand know of one, but it is a "standard" Ford part.  Maybe someone will see this and can sell/ship you one as it looks like you are overseas.  Maybe Bill Collins?

Most likely that is because the 67 Shelby's you are looking at do not have that detail correct.

The master cylinder, lid, bail and booster were all painted semi-gloss black as an assembled unit and then installed in the car.
The Sticker (early/late) should be there.  Stickers, both versions, are available from multiple Mustang parts sellers.

(Many cars are restored incorrectly, one of the dangers of copying others work.)

Kent, the cars are more than 50 years old.  Ya think the master cylinder might have been replaced a couple of times?

Kent

My master cylinder is the original one, cap also now that i know which one it is, i always thought its wrong because all the others Shelbys had different ones.
