There appears to be much to be pointed out, but I will defer the experts here. Dependant on your knowledge base of 68's, if you are not conversant with them, reach out 1:1 with one of the members here or who you might know locally, whose expertise is 1968.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Re: Ford Station Wagons

In 1959, my mother had never learned to drive. She had two children entering school. One day my dad showed up with a "playboy" pink ranch wagon, gave her the keys and said:  "Yours to enjoy, have fun". Started an extended Ford station wagon history in our home. Wish I had a pic from the day she received it.

Pick your side of the pond.
My long time neighbor has owned his 67 XKE since the late 60's. This past spring he completed a major restoration and so we should put the two "cousins" side by side for a few shots. Each have their own strengths, and will leave it to the individual to pick their favorite.

After years of searching, finally found an image of the decal for Dick Price Ford, in Radford Va., where my Torino was sold. Had a perfect reproduction made locally. Next is Bud Egolf Motors from just outside Chicago for the Cougar. Was able to obtain a rough image from the original dealers son, to be reproduced.
To me, adds to the history of the car.

1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: GT500 production

Pete, my 2766, a 500, has KR's of a lower number. Can you postulate if this would be one of the leftovers, or more simple random numbering as was done? I have previously wondered. Thanks.

Very sharp. Enjoy!

This past winter, finally found a rack. Here it is, restored, on my 71 Torino, with my skis I used in 1971. Like cars, ski technology has come a long way.
I am sure the little sticker on the skis reads: DANGER, Never to be skied on!

Good point, I don't, that is why I say branding. I know that post 2000 they used a license frame, but do not know the approach in the late 60's. If it was either a: sticker, plaque, or a plate frame I have options for reproducing it if I can get an image.
The example posted took me about 17 years of hunting to finally recreate.

Would anyone have info, or images on how Fuller Ford applied their dealer branding to cars in the late 60". Have searched for years, with no luck, even through the dealer. Attached of one I recently found for one of my cars after 15 years searching, which I reproduced.
Thanks for this.

Congratulations! Hopefully, many enjoyable driving days ahead.

Very sharp. If it is exactly what you have been looking for, sounds like you have found it.

I bet you get all of the premier parking spots now. Well done.

I don't get some sellers. Nice overall appearance, you sink the money in for those tires, but leave the stripes like this. It just screams: "see what else you can find that needs to be corrected ".
