I always liked the Boston Bruin logo. My father covered Hockey Night in Canada on the main camera for the Maple Leafs. When I was born in 1963 he took me down to meet all the Maple Leaf players one of them must've been Tim Horton when I look at the team photo for that year. I of course have no memory of the occurrence but pretty cool nonetheless. He was so fast on the camera in his prime to follow that puck they called him Zoomer which he hated but later embraced. Hard to see him now at 96 getting so much slower. But at least I don't need a seance yet to talk to him. That day is coming though.

I haven't followed hockey in an exceedingly long time but those look like Boston Bruin colors?

Looks like someone bought the last one. Thanks for the backstory Bob, Silverton Ford, JD and Camp Upshur. Someone bought the last one it would seem. As previously mentioned, I never saw anything like it before and is relevant to 843 so why not. We are only coming along this way once in life. Not so convinced about Heaven, Hell or Valhalla. Live it up a bit.

come on down. I saw a LOT of Shelbys last year also. The SAAC Spring fling is just an hour south of there in beautiful Nashville Indiana at Brown county state park.
Yes maybe I will. My girlfriend lives in Indianapolis so I have a place to stay. I can't go for too long. Would have to find someone to watch my father here.

I bought the second to last one. Anyone interested, there is one more left. Not sure how plentiful they are. I went through first world hell trying to find just the repop of a Hi Performance Motors license plate frame. I had one order cancelled after I placed it as being no longer available. I found two on another site. Will see if it goes through. Anyway, see infra.

Never seen anything like it before.  Will look on the wall with a Hi Performance repop frame.

Quote from: FL SAAC on May 03, 2024, 08:27:45 PMIs it paper or plastic ?
That's what they asked me at checkout at Walmart. Joking aside. It's cardboard. Has not arrived yet. But looks unique so I grabbed it.

I acquired this little piece just recently and wondered if Hi-Performance Motors actually used this identifier on their plates? That was the claim by the seller who patterned this repro from file materials he received from Lew Spencer in 1984. My car was invoiced to Hi-Performance Motors so I wanted the piece for the small Shelby shrine I created in the home office.

Thank you Bob for the clarification and insight.

Concours Talk / Battery hold down clamp for a 66
May 03, 2024, 06:02:10 PM
Recent acquisition.  Apparently a service part with label taped on. What am I looking at here? 843 currently has a ridiculous little hold down tab which is apparently all wrong. Friend of mine says there should be the letter "c" stamped on this block shaped clamp which I do not see. If I got seen off it wasn't for a lot. Curious.

Quote from: Corey Bowcutt on May 02, 2024, 09:23:41 PMFun article. I especially enjoyed it because I am currently refurbishing a 64.5 convertible with a 260. However my 260 is a V8 not an inline 6. I am guessing there is a mistake there somewhere.
That is what I thought too about the 260 remark.  Wasn't the 260 a thin walled XP motor that Shelby snapped up for his first few Cobras?  I did not check the c.i. displacement for a slant six.
