Title: paint Front clip assembled question
Post by: imming1965 on September 05, 2022, 01:06:35 PM
Okay need help with process done to paint front clip for a 1969 Shelby gt350 or 500. Im getting ready to paint a 1969 convertible GT350. I have never done a 69 and I didn't disassemble this car before I started restore. It came to me apart.
My question is....Was the stone guard on assembly when the base color of car was done? or was it added to assembly along with grill? or was it all assembled, painted body color, then painted argent silver. need help soon would like to paint tomorrow.

As the factory photos in the Coralsnake link show and to clarify the body color parts were painted first and then the other parts added when the front was assembled prior to painting the gray.
