Second this with one directly in the ER and another who is directly in the infectious disease field.  It may take in goid time six to twelve months before a vaccine is developed.

Most all of my family are in the medical field, it is very real... with no hysteria. If you feel this a hoax like our fearless leader has stated, carry on as usual.

And the mainstream media does have common sense? It's total hysteria on every network.

Watched about 4 hrs+ of TV today that included both national and local news as well as press conferences of both Federal representatives and State (Calif) and saw no hysteria from the media only reporting and asking of decent and surely anticipated questions. Not always what I see just saying today was a different experience . Glad all sides (hate to think that are "sides" in a situation like this) appear to be focusing and moving forward.

Sure that when this is behind us each of us will be able to look backwards and see that we were very wrong on some things and possibly right on others. Lots of stress out there let's not spread it :)

Seriously? The virus story is the only news they cover. Updated death counts and infection rates every 30 minutes.

I guess you are right. People just ran out and cleaned out stores of toilet paper and other sundry items without any provocation.

The hagerty article is one of the most worst I ever read about this theme. A guy who is writting and reading the whole day and try to analyze something is never good like somebody who lives in the real world.

I thought my secret screen name was the best. It was 4Q, and if you investigated the profile, he was from the Uppa US?  8)

I loved it because it was aimed at Ct.Dave and he thought it was Kopec, because that's the kind of thing Rick would do.

At one time, Rick's secret profile was St.Irdapot.

What a bunch of trouble makers, right?  ;)

I think the media finally stepped in it a little much, the media and and others, (figure it out) has done its best to make one guy look bad, and they went too far, because all the wealthy politicians and evil corporation media cost US almost everything, I hope they are happy....

Your statement alone, "If you feel this a hoax like our fearless leader has stated, carry on as usual.", shows how one sided people are. He never said it meaning that, but if you like cnn abc nbc and the rest, than that is what you heard, or was it what you wanted to hear so you can spread your hate for "One guy"?

Were you just as mad during the SARS gig? I bet not, were you as mad when Benghazi happened, I bet not.

I live in NY, I know first hand how stupid it can get. BTW I am in the "Medical Field". The medical field is not always right, look at Diabetes and how they tell you to eat, totally WRONG!

Funny, they don't tell you about any recovery....so we are to think what, people are falling like flies?

In the current era of social media followers, there is no sense that is common.

And the mainstream media does have common sense? It's total hysteria on every network.
YEP, I agree there ::)

Everyone is worried about this "NEW" issue, just go out and drive your cars. Enjoy them for what they are and meant to be used as. If it isn't this, its another distraction,  but you have to realize just like the Model T market,  it's just a matter of time before they all tank. The only exception will be the one off Shelby and those you can count on your hands.

"do not go gentile into that good night".

Naaaaa that's kinda of faggy poem. This is reality, the way of the Model T crowd. The writing is on the wall. Many are in denial but it is what it is...bye, bye dinosaur

Stay safe and away from social contact by working  alone in the garage and going for long drives.  You will feel better. 8)

Side-Oilers

"If" by Rudyard Kipling.  The first line is my favorite.

"If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
    And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
    And—which is more—you'll be a Man, my son!
