More than a week ago, I sent a pm to the seller for some info. on the #'s-left my cell-no response. Has Vin weighed in on this.? Does anyone know the car?
Would like to see pics of it before primered .....
I received a bunch of photos from the seller. It appears to be a California smog equipped car. Several additional brackets in the left trunk drop area.

All 428CJs are smog equipped. The only difference on a Calif 70 Shelby could have been the gas tank emissions system put on 1970 Mustangs in calif. No change on Engines for California.
California evaporative emissions = fun fun fun finding missing parts . Of course that is only if you care about that sort of thing.

Actually, its more than that. The distributors, charcoal canisters, return lines and re-calibration of the 735 carbs. I know, I used to own 0F02R483129.

reread my post as it referenced smog systems to the other poster. It isn't just Shelbys that would have what you are talking about(manual choke carbs and 70 dists). CJ Mustangs too were equipped that way but all had the same working engine smog systems on them. The reference was Shelbys shipped to Calif were different engine wise was my take on his post. Like 67 GT500s sold in Calif had to have Engine smog-other GT500s didn't. So I guess I should have been more specific on the gas tank additional info for being part of the "smog" requirements. Thanks.
Who cares, that is a great price for a real gt500 with a stick, if I was in the market I would buy it.

Yes, being a California car alone is worth the price! I was spoiled growing up in Los Angeles we would pass on a car if it had a dime size hole in the lower quarter and we would call it a "rust bucket". With the number of Shelby's running around today with "bodies by China" it's nice to see a solid car.

I've owned a few Calif cars and being in the rust belt I really appreciated the solid bodies and none pitted components and not breaking bolts taking the cars apart. My favorite one was a full resto I did on a 69 Mach1 DSOed out of Los Angeles. 4 speed shaker zero rust car. The latch support which was original was stamped "Made De Mexico".

Indian Fire red? Someone at our local Toyota dealer in 1985 traded an Indian Fire red on a Toyota. I went NUTS and went to check my bank account and didn't have enough, went to my Dad in law, went back with cash.......It was gone :( Price, $3295!!

Back around 1994 when I just finished my Los Angeles DSOed 69 R-code Mach1 an old friend who moved to LA after a divorce to find work had a 69 Mach1 had stopped by. He drove his motorcycle back to Mi to visit his ailing Dad. The prices he quoted he could buy rust free 69s for(He is the one who got me hooked on 69s in HS) I told him to send any my way. Never happened and I lost track of him. :(
In 82 when I was looking for my Shelby, there was a 69 boss 429 in primer for sale in L.A. for I believe $4800 ,but I held out for a Shelby.Wish I had the cash for both... :'(

I have an estimate from a So Cal custom painter for $15k to paint back to original color GRABBER BLUE...plus rubbers and stripe kit. He is Hagerty approved and does nice work.
AC?
A/C ?????? What is your question??? Did you ever send me your email address so I can send you all the pics and all the details and the 2 video links?????? Send it to my email address or text me directly....thanks, Ron
I am now entertaining offers above $95k..I have a serious offer from Australia, however I hate to ship a really nice Rare car out of the country. I found the Buildsheet last night under the rear seat carpet underlayment. Thanks *
Ron Is this car in Morgan Hill or Los Angeles or somewhere else in Ca.

You better take Australia's offer/money and run.......
Stay steady Ron. It looks like a good car. ;)
Sorry for the cryptic response about the ac-you had listed the car as having ac but I did not see it on the Marti. Maybe I just missed it and if so, my bad. Or, did you mean to list it is as having ac added at some point in time. Also, not to nit pick but any idea why a car with such low mileage was re-painted. Thanks and again, my apologies if I'm behind on the thread.

Congrats. I had a few guys ask me about the car and I felt from what it was it was priced to sell and was surprised it took this long. If I was in the market I would have taken a hard look at this car.
