Title: kick down cable adjustment
Post by: nwfire on January 13, 2021, 10:49:47 PM
Can anyone help with explaining the proper procedure for adjusting the kick down cable on a 1967 GT500 with a C6 automatic transmission??

Thanks.

I would start by adjusting the throttle linkage so that the carbs are both WOT when the gas pedal is in the floor. Best to disconnect the kickdown while doing this.

After that adjust the kickdown linkage as described in the 1967 Mustang / Cougar / Comet / Fairlane shop manual.
