Thanks!
As I sit waiting for hurricane Ian, I'm just wandering the garage looking for stuff to do. I can mark this off my list!

Years ago when I was putting the car together I could swear I found that shock tower cover bolts go from wheel side of apron into engine compartment with nuts on the inside. Now I cant find the info and I question my memory on the validity of my bolt placement. For something so obvious at a casual glance... = I've got to know! Head of bolts on inside of engine compartment or nuts?

Thanks!

Concours Talk / Re: My Rear End

So, I  told my wife I had it on good authority my rear end was quite dependable and in fine shape, even admired by some.
She replied, "Well, you're still going to your colonoscopy appointment next week."

Concours Talk / My Rear End

Pleasantly surprised to find the rear end in the 68 GT 350 is a 31 spline. I just always assumed with an open 3:89 it would of been a 28 spline. Now I believe it may be a N case as well with a casting of C4AW 4025-B. The pinion support is C5AW 4668-C... is that the Daytona type? Do I have all this wrong? Was it common to put this HD stuff in a 350 if that's what it is?

Cheers

Are you referring to the chrome tail light bezels? If so, these screws are available from Tony Branda parts.

Thanks, it will be heading to the dark drawer of other useless chotskies.

Two years after I thought I had the console properly back together, now I think it probably is thanks to everyone's input. Any exact placement issues on the shift pattern plate or was it centered, toward the driver side? Any instructions for the worker, or was it pretty random?

Pretty sure trim above your tear door should have screws
Hi, thanks
Trim above rear door has studs to the trunk side. Is that what you mean?
Hi Bob, thanks for the input. Yes, those screws are in for a mock up to see how everything fits. Panels and surviving trim are original pieces and not in the best of shape. AMK screws are here and ready for final!

I just need the corner trim pieces, left and right, that covers the seam between upper and lower panels in the rear under the glass.

Thanks!

Yes, but I would think the bezel on top would help to keep the boot portion under the console secure to the underside of the console. Or, is it strictly cosmetic?

Ok, now I understand! I remember this trim from a 67 Mustang 289/2V 3 speed manual my father had from 1970-76.
Thank you very much for the clarification! I knew the boot floats... now I know how they were "sealing" the inside of the car from the outside.

So sandwiched between the console? Shelby specific? Anyone know if they are available? I don't see anything at Branda's.
