First, I am enjoying the new Forum structure. A lot of nice features.

I have a question; when I am logged in, under my name it says "Show IP Address, and everyone else shows "Logged".  When I am logged out, it shows "Logged" under my name and everyone else.  Would you explain this, and is my IP visible to others.  This was not on the old version.

Would anyone know where I could get a dashpot. Even if not original, if it improves reliability/road worthiness, I'd be ok using one.

I picked up an NOS one years ago on Ebay.  You might start there, unless someone here has one.

I would say anyone that would be interested in this car will have already seen it for sale on the various platforms.  My thought is, unless it is auctioned at no reserve, it will be going home with him.  Or, there are at least two bidders that have consumed several adult beverages and say "what the heck" and buy the car.

I looked again over the week while I await my new repro Z-Bar from VA Mustang. Based on the comments, I do see a stop so the pedal doesn't come up beyond a certain point but don't remember a stop being on the assembly to keep it from going down too far? The functionality of the clutch itself seemed fine just the pedal overextending the main return spring was the issue. The sleeves the pedal shafts go through are fine no extra play. The clutch in there was a kit that included the throw-out bearing and it's a new Zoom one and a diaphragm type.  I'll post an update when I get the new z-bar in - in a way I'm hoping mine was bent and this will solve it 

I guess I was a bit confused about the "overextending".  My pedal goes to the floor and returns just a little higher than the brake pedal.  I thought your overextending was the pedal returning too high.

Is the pedal stop adjusted properly and did you inspect the support bracket bushings for wear?

While we are on the topic, do I need any kind of lube on the seal prior to pulling the rope from around the outside? Dish soap or silicone spray or anything like that?

NPD sells an Automotive Bedding and Glazing Compound that will create a seal between the gasket and windshield frame.  Have not needed to use any lubricant as the new gasket seems to slip over the edge with no problem.  The only areas that may cause a problem are the corners.  Sometimes it is hard to get the gasket to go around them.  Also, usually, pull the rope around the inside, with a person gently hitting the windshield as the rope is pulled, helping it seat.
