Getting for the "final countdown" to 250,000 miles I changed the old BF Goodrich to the Goodyear Polyglas Fr70-14 radials. Look nice but I am heading for a drive to see how they ride and handle
Owned since 1971, now driven over 245,000 miles, makes me smile every time I drive it and it makes me feel 21 again.😎

Looks good, hope they perform well too...

took about a75 mile ride. Getting an alignment next week
Rides, smooth, seems to track well. Clearance is a bit tight but seems to just clear
Even stopped by the grocery store

Hi Steve,

My experience with the Goodyear Polyglas tires (E60-14) is that they actually corner well, but are terrifying on the straights when you get in a rut, especially on the interstate.  If you stay on the back roads, they should be the most fun to drive on.  I am curious to hear your thoughts.  I also love the look.

Hi Steve,

My mistake.  I did not realize this tires were radials.  They should handle just fine.

Looking good

Always a good idea to swap out old tires. This was the year for mine. Tires have a definite "shelf life" whether used or not.  They look great on your Hertz!

I would black out all but the Goodyear because it will look closer to the original tires even though they are not . At least if it were my car but to each their own.

Hi Bob,

What is the best recipe to black out raised white letters.

Thanks

Cory

I have used Krylon black semi gloss for years and it works as good as anything else I have tried. It is cheap, goes on fast, and blends well.
