Not mine, thank goodness. :o
$400K and you get those rims? My favorite quote is "Carroll's authorization, story, and involvement in this design." That was what, signing the dash? (I'm not even sure he did that.)

1966 Shelby GT 350 CR Hardtop Retractable Shelby Prototype 1 of 3 in World RARE
1966 Mustang Shelby GT350CR. This original was authorized by Carroll Shelby and built by exclusive worldwide contract as one of 3 vintage Shelby Hard Top Retractable Convertibles in the world. This is a handcrafted full restoration built to tight specs. It's fit and finish includes 15 coats of Sauterne Gold and Parchment stripe accents. The top articulates and folds into the trunk area with no bulge in the boot area. With the top down it is virtually flat leaving clean crisp lines.. This miraculous design, consulted on by: Carroll Shelby, Chip Foose, and Jon Wilhelm, came together in a seamless way that did not interrupt the original Shelby lines and accents. Three years ago this car received a "replacement cost only" appraised value of $290,200 , car only, all without the details of Carroll's authorization, story, and involvement in this design. We believe this car is valued substantially higher but have decided to pass this legend on to someone else to enjoy at a value of $399,500. This 1966 is the only one of its kind in the world today. Me no likey
really poor choice of wheels.
Really poor choice of proportions.
Confusing, so was this car built in 1966?
For four hundred thooousand dollars I would have expected at least a serious engine under the hood, not a stock 302 with a plug wire removed, and the timing seriously retarded. Strange times-
I can think of many 1966 Shelby products I would rather throw my spare 400 k at........ :o
Yuk
Not built in the 1960s or 1970s
Or the 1980s or the 1990s
Wow, I apologize, I missed the real gem of this seller's collection:

An orange and blue 1964.5 Shelby for $700,000! "the color design was a "one up" on Carroll's love of the light blue and orange paint scheme on the original GT 40. " Really?
Yuk and double yuk!
Are CS's belt-and-suspenders combination included?
They're for the stylish sport car driver...when one method of pants support just won't do.
So where did the "appraised value" come from? They should be embarrassed.

MAYBE POOKIE-
There's a good reason why it's 1of 3 in the WORLD
There's a lot more to this story if you do some research. Wilhelm Motorsports, Mustangs Plus and one of Carroll's favorite pastimes - a lawsuit.

I almost feel sorry for him, except for the absurd pricing. Nothing like trying to recoup all of his legal bills in one sale.

Oh cool, this is a 64.5 Chip Foose Shelby prototype. I have a picture with my arm around AJ Foyt so now my car is a 66 Indy prototype. I wonder if I need to stuff the fastback hardtop and glass into the trunk to get top dollar on eBay or would a "Caution Fan" sticker do the trick?
Someone should text this "Tool" at the number supplied within the ad and explain how it's not a Shelby, etc.
Well some things from the story that stand out, above the endless lawsuits...
He is a self described "whack job"
They agreed these cars should be in the Registry. Oops! Shelby sold that idea many times, the one problem was he had no control over the Shelby American Automobile Club's work...
Good Lord :o ::)
Well, the business goal to sell cars for between restored Mustang and restored, Original Shelby product selling prices was just shot to #3!/... BUT WAIT! They're prototypes!... Problem solved... constructed with no more quality focus as many SAI prototypes, and without any aesthetic expenditure, it's a success!?!?!... no further sarcastic commentary to follow.

who knew 6 cyl converts would be so valuable !

Pete, he has a '68 Shelby GT500 also. Any chance we'll be seeing an article about on the Coralsnake.com website? It could be worse, he could have called it a GT500KRCR, but then he would have had to put a real big block in it. ???

Unlikely, I like to keep it real
I'm wondering if "Sir" Jon is colorblind. I don't think even the most die hard Florida Gator fan would dig the blue car. And who thought Parchment (Saddle?) stripes on a Sauterne (Lime) Gold car looked good?
They used a $16 flimsy Taiwan export brace. what lies underneath should be interesting on a original 6 cylinder car
Probably just Super-glued two more cylinders to make it 8 cylinders. It doesn't matter, after all, the car was involved with Shelby and has a history. Just not a good one. 8)
Once again, appraisals have little to do with the price of rice in China. Market value sets the tone. GT 350 CS. Garrish Trashy 350 Cheesy Reproduction.
A fool and his money were quickly separated in these transactions. They are not only ugly but should be an embarrassment to Shelby himself and those handing out his name to the highest bidder. They should never be listed as a Shelby. They aren't. Shelby had nothing to do with design or manufacture.

For the record, that was the 2016 Ford GT Lé Mans EcoBoost 6 cylinder prototype ;)
