1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Speedometer Reading Correct?
September 30, 2020, 02:10:42 AM
I took my GT 350 for a drive this morning, I've ever been real sure how accurate the speedometer is. So I wrote down a few numbers when I got back. Do these numbers seem close? I know first gear is long, but doing 60mph feels a bit slow, but maybe it's different in an older vehicle.
I really need to get side by side with a new car to compare, but just wanted to throw this out there first.

3.89 rear end

20 mph @2000rpm in first gear
30 mph @3000 rpm in first gear
60 mph @2700 rpm. In 4th gear

Up For Auction / Re: Invoice of GT1967 no: 0265

There's never been any info supplied in the Registries to date for 265 , my car was sold at Fogg too and I have the original invoices like these ones. I've also got a photo at Fogg with 265 and two other early GT500s parked together.

Does anyone know the correct distance of the upper water neck say from centre point of rad to centre point of outlet?

What are the dimensions OD , of the hose attachment pieces with your NOS parts?

I might of used 3M spray adhesive used in upholstery work, correct if if that's not right as it's been a few years since I attached the gas cap emblem

Definitely NOS Ford, Black versions. I have yet to learn too what the "A" stands for, and yes maybe the digit number is the manufactured year, seems reasonable anyways. I've seen A80, A84, and now the two posted here.

Well from my conversations after that car was purchased, it received a going over, but not an all out full restoration, can anyone add to that?

I took this out of a 69' with console. Original chrome is very nice, I dissembled the mechanism and bead blasted the mounting plate and shifter linkage. The Black Deluxe T Handle is original and in beautiful shape, along with A NOS chrome release button. I replaced the rubber shifter seal and indicator bezel. Wiring harness is original and perfect, light works well. This is ready to install , I also have the standard Chrome T Handle if your car needs that version.
I can send pictures if your interested , email me for them. Price is 175.00

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Marti Radiator Hose
June 05, 2020, 01:21:55 AM
So I would of ordered the hoses for a 67' application, and your saying I have 66' hose here? I realize that the ink stamped part number likely doesn't carry much weight, so what do I have to do to get the correct one from Marti? Is there not someone else who does a better job and pays attention to what they're supplying out there?

I got new upper and lower from Marti a few years ago to get the stapled clamp versions instead of the tower clamps which were on the car when I got it.I had to pull the top hose pretty tight to reach the water neck, therefore the hose doesn't have that ninety degree look to it now, it's smooth surface too.
I don't know how to load pictures on here, but if I can email to someone who can I will do that.
I wasn't happy at the time, but just lived with it.

Has a picture of 0051's "supposed " hand engraved Vin tag ever surfaced, showed up at all?

I know this is off track, but can we assume that the Alternator fan and Pulley were painted black on 67 GT 350's ? I'm quite sure I've seen a few, what I felt were original untouched cars like that, but I don't have pictures to back it up.

Is there a picture here if an Autolite power tip ?
