The GT350 only had the 302 motor, the 214 number is the 302 with the 4 speed, makes it pretty rare

Right, but your for sale ad states "one of only 404 4 speed convertible's made". Not true - there were 404 GT-350 Convertibles, but only 214 4 speeds...

Might want to make a correction in your ad - the 404 is TOTAL 1968 GT-350 convertible production, not 4 speeds.

In the classifieds, http://www.saacforum.com/index.php?topic=18816.0, the seller states that the car is one of 404 4 speed convertibles, but one of only 214 with a particular engine/transmission code. For '68 GT-350 convertibles, what other engine/4 speed trans combos could there be? Were there close/wide ratio 4 speeds like the Boss 302?

This is the issue I have :

#51
I believe it was a special Mustang issue put out by Consumer Guide. I think I have a copy in storage.
#52
He corrected his ad, the date was '65, not '66, so I guess this post is irrelevant now.
#53
When was the last '66 made? In the for sale section is a T-10 listed as correct for a late '66, has a date code of 7-27-66.

Seems like there would have been some delay even after the case was cast (assembly, shipping, etc.), making this available even later in the year.

I have actually done some of their stuff - looks really good once you get everything down pat.
