I have been surfing a lot recently and there are a lot of cars represented as Carrolls personal cars

Has anyone started a registry?

IIRC, someone once said something that might be applicable here...
"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof"

This could be fun.

Yes but there are people claiming he was their biological father too? Are you going to start a "Registry" for them also?  ::)

Don't forget a registry of all his wives...the known ones, at least.

98SVT - was 06GT

There was a cottage industry of registering cars in CSs name to add to their value - I'd wager he never saw most of them much less drove or had them in his garage.

I do recall that happened.  Now they just show up at auctions year after year.  The only true CS owned cars, to me, are the ones that he had as part of his estate that were parked or many years in the Gardena warehouse before the LV shop opened. 8)

Agreed. But more than a few of those were registered to one of his many companies. So did "he" own them?

Pix are from when I previewed the collection going to auction. May 2018, Gardena Warehouse.

Notice the date on when the registration was issued. Shortly after his death.

IMO: Even though this Lincoln's history might prove that CS himself was on the original title, I doubt that the man would've driven a powder blue car.
My guess is that his wife (or a lady friend) at the time was its main driver.

He had a number of "his" cars parked in McKinney Texas when it was his chili factory.  His Daytona was in the lobby.  CSX2000 was in the back along with his 1969 GT500 Convertible.  Then there was a few of the Dodges.  He'd drive the GLHS model when he was around town.  he'd also drive the 1969 around.  When he sold the chili company, some of the cars moved to his place in east Texas.

Shelby was gifted the last Lincoln Continental convertible by Ford Motor Company. If this is the last one it was his from day 1. I remember seeing in the warehouse for many years. I always wondered why he never sold it. It being retitled in the corp name doesn't surprise me. There was a lot of family arguments about who got what of his personal property.
