Progress continues. What else can we say? We’ve been working on this book
for 3 years straight. It will contain information on only Cobras and GT40s.
We have uncovered a ton of information that was either previously unknown or
never before in print. The book will probably be 1000 pages and have between
1500 and 2000 photos. And it will have dozens of separate chapters
containing details and pictures of unique cars or types of cars.
Why
is it taking so long?

Is
there still time to get a photo of your car in the book?
Yes.
We will include every good photo we receive: CSX2000 Cobras, CSX3000 Cobras,
GT40s, CSX4000, CSX7000, CSX8000, CSX1000, AC MK IVs, ‘04-’06 Ford GTs,
Series 1s. Poor quality photos will be rejected (out of focus, only part of
the car in the frame, etc). All prints and slides will be promptly returned.
Send them to SAAC HQ, PO Box 788, Sharon, CT 06069. Digital images can be
emailed to us at
saac@saac.com
So,
just when can you expect to see this book?
We
only publish a registry every ten years, so it’s impossible to provide an
exact delivery date. Right now, our best guess is that we will be sending
the finished package to the printer at the end of September. How long the
actual printing process will take is impossible for us to estimate. It’s
also beyond our control.
How
about those special Leather Covered editions?
Yeah, how about them. All 250 were snapped up in less than 5 weeks after we
announced their availability. We have had no cancellations – don’t even ask.
Can
you still order one at the Pre-Publication price?
Yes.
That would be $175 + $15 postage. Check or credit card. We will accept
orders at this price until the book goes to the printer. Then we will
recalculate the price – because we set it more than 3 years ago and the cost
of everything has increased. We’d really prefer that you wait and buy one
after they are published because the price will be higher. But no matter how
high it is, we will honor the pre-publication price for every one that has
been ordered - up to a maximum of 998 (the number of original Cobras made).
We’re not there yet, so you still have time to get your order in!
How
to order this registry.
You
can order one off of the website
http://www.saac.com/worldRegistry/index.html. Or you can send us a check for $190 (we’ll
know what it’s for). Or you can mail, email or fax us an order. We’ll need
your mailing address and a Visa or Mastercard number and expiration date.
That’s all it takes. When we get the books we will ship the pre-publication
orders immediately.
