THE
NEW SHELBY AMERICAN WORLD REGISTRY
The 4th Edition of the Shelby American World Registry is
in the works. It will be printed in 2 separate volumes. Volume 1 will contain
information and photos of Cobras and GT40s. Volume 2 will contain information
and pictures of Shelby Mustangs and Shelby Trans-Am cars. Both volumes will be put together and
printed independently of each other, one at a time. Work on the second one will
begin as soon as the first one is complete.
Volume 1 is presently nearing completion. We have been working on this edition
for the past 3˝ years. We expect to be sending it to the printer at the end of
the summer of
2007. Volume 2 should be finished sometime in 2009.
We are presently taking orders for Volume 1 (Cobras & GT40s). This volume will
contain information and photos on all original leaf spring (CSX2000) and coil
spring (CSX3000) Cobras. There will also be separate chapters on Cobra small
block competition cars, Cobra Daytona Coupes, Continuation Daytona Coupes, Brock
Superformance Coupes, 289 Dragonsnakes, Slamom Snakes, leaf spring COB/COX
Cobras, King Cobras, 427 Competition and S/C Cobras, 427 Super Coupe, 427
Willment Coupe, Twin Paxton Cobras, 427 Dragonsnakes, Cobra Component cars
(CSX4000, CSX7000 and CSX8000 series), AC MK Ivs, AC COX continuation cars,
Kirkham Cobras, Paramount film chassis, Cobra Caravan, Cobra Trailers, Cobra
Museums, GT40s, race car variants, Ford GT MK Iis, MK Ivs, Gulf cars, Safir MK
Vs, Holman GT40P MK Iis, Kar Kraft MK Ivs, 2005-2006 Ford GTs, Lone Star, Shelby
Can-Am racers. This book will be about 1000 pages. It will be
hardcover and will have a color dust-jacket.
A special, pre-publication price of $175 (plus $15 shipping inside of the U.S.)
will be available to those who order a copy in advance of printing. When the
book is sent to be printed we will recalculate the cost (it’s no secret – it
will probably be higher) but we will honor the pre-publication price for
everyone who paid $185 up front. Those who ordered in advance will be the first
ones to get their book.

SAAC 27 Poster |

Quantity (each) |
Beautiful color illustration of a Cobra Daytona
Coupe parked in front of 6501 West Imperial Highway. We asked
SAAC member and automotive artist Tom Honegger to come up with
something special for the SAAC-27 Shelby Reunion Lunch's
autograph session. There had to be plenty of white border area
which could be covered with the signatures of the Shelby team
drivers, team members and ex-employees. Yours, of course, will
come without autographs.) These sold like snow cones on the
equator. We have some left. Size is 18" x 12", printed on heavy
stock. Posters are $5 each plus $5 shipping per order ($10 for
1, $15 for 2, $20 for 3, etc). |

SAAC-32 Daytona Coupe Poster. CSX2299 was one of the Coupes at the
convention. We contracted noted automotive artist Lawrence Gardinier II to
come up with a painting of Larry Miller's Daytona Coupe and we presented it
to him during the Saturday evening program as a token of our thanks for his
hospitality and helpfulness in flattening out all of the speed bumps we
would have otherwise encountered if the track had been owned by anyone else.
It's full color, measures 18" x 12" and is printed on heavy stock. Each one
is signed by the artist. We don't have a lot and they won't last long,
especially at this price. $20
each. |
