Been burned on ebay by sending a deposit on a Shelby with a good price &
better story? You're not alone. SAAC will tell you every time to go see a
car that you are bidding on before you send any money & there will be some
of you that won't because you're afraid of missing out on the great deal.
The only thing that will be missing is your bank balance. Paperwork is being
forged & identities are being created to make it sound like the real owner
is selling his car. As of now we have received word that the scam is working
out of New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, England, Denmark, The Netherlands &
Bulgaria; tomorrow it could be anywhere else. It doesn't make any difference
what year or serial number car they are selling, it could be your car. By
the way, 6S2022 is not for sale even if ebay says it is. If Tony Velez in
Ocala, FL is a real person, he doesn't own 2022 which is in California. If
you don't know who you're dealing with contact your Registrar.

There is an individual in California who is making & selling Ford & Cobra VIN tags. He usually hangs out near the Superformance booth at shows. If you have a replica Cobra & put one of his CSX tags on your car, you risk having your cars title revoked by the state. Is it worth it? We don't think so.
